    Responsibilities of Members

Church members shall be encouraged to exercise their spiritual gifts for the mutual
benefit of all the church body and shall submit to the loving rule of the Elders as stated on
    membership application.

    Membership (Adult)
We view membership as a believer’s formal declaration and commitment to joining the
local church by the grace of God. Members are received into the local body upon their
credible testimony of faith in Christ, whose conduct is in accordance with his/her faith, and
have been baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. A verbal or written
testimony must also be presented to the church leadership (Elder Council) upon application
for membership. All satisfactory candidates shall be introduced as members by the Elder
Council during any regular Sunday service.

Membership for attendees with differing theological views from the church (i.e. baptism,
Lord 's supper, tithing, sabbath, etc.) will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Elder
    council.

    Membership (Withdrawn, Denied, or Revoked)
    Voluntary while in Good standing

    • Membership may be withdrawn as a result of leaving the church

    • Members may cancel their membership for personal reasons

    Involuntary

    • Application for membership may be denied by elders

    • Membership may be revoked as a result of church discipline. This revocation must be in accordance with Matthew 18:15-18.

    • Members may resign
membership only after the Church’s disciplinary proceedings have concluded.

    • Membership may be revoked due to an extended period of absence (after sufficient inquiry from the Elder Council)

Elders will communicate the status of members who are leaving/left and their current standing
      with the Church.

    1. Request a membership packet from an elder.

    2. Read the material in the packet & confessional, then fill out the forms provided.

    3. Have your testimony in Christ ready, then set up your interview with the elders.
